SMP for scars

Scars tell a story, but they don’t have to define you. Whether from injury, surgery, or hair transplants, scalp scars can affect your confidence.

Our specialized SMP techniques seamlessly blend with your natural hair, camouflaging scars for a smooth, uniform look. Discreet, effective, and long-lasting, SMP restores both your appearance and confidence.

What is SMP for scars?

Scars can be a lasting reminder of injury, surgery, or hair transplants, often standing out against the natural pattern of your hair.

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical solution that carefully deposits pigment to blend the scar into the surrounding scalp, making it far less noticeable.

Our expert technique ensures that the color, density, and pattern match your natural hair growth, creating a smooth, even appearance. Whether your scar is large or small, SMP can help restore a more consistent, uniform look—allowing you to focus on your style, not your scars.

Each treatment is fully customized, considering your hair type, skin tone, and personal preferences to achieve the most natural results possible.

How do we perform the treatment?

Treatments are usually split into three sessions

1. Session one is always a little lighter in coverage.

The reason for this is it gives us an opportunity to see how well your skin accepts the ink. This is the foundation of your treatment and for anyone getting SMP for a scar, the initial coverage is planted

2. In session two we assess the first session's results, and make any necessary adjustments to the pigment. Now we really see the final look coming together. we work between the dots of the first session adding fullness to the overall look and go over any pigment the scar tissue may have rejected.

3. Session three is the final stage.

The final touches are applied to give a natural, flawless look, and finalise your treatment.

If for any reason an addition session is required, we perform this at no extra charge.

Inkle is dedicated to working with you to achieve an optimal result.

How SMP

disguises scars

Using SMP to hide scars on the scalp is very common practice in our industry. Just as in a standard treatment, the ink and needle is selected to match the size and shade of surrounding hair follicles, and the impressions are selectively placed on the scar tissue to blend it with surrounding hair.
